Jhansi Fort

Jhansi Fort, also known as Jhansi ka Qila, is a historic fort located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. It was built in the 17th century by Raja Bir Singh Deo of Orchha. The fort is famously associated with Rani Lakshmibai, one of the bravest leaders of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Situated on a rocky hill, the fort provides a strong defensive position and a panoramic view of the city. Inside the fort, there are temples, palaces, and a museum that reflect Bundelkhand architecture. Jhansi Fort stands as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and India’s struggle for freedom.
